In industries in which a strong national industry association does not put on trade shows, an independent organizer will sometimes sponsor one.
This makes sense at this time in our industry; in social-recreational dancing we have many organizations which already stage complex competition events with relative ease. For many of these organizations, putting on a social-recreational-dance-industry trade show would be a simple matter to accomplish.
